U.S. company 8×8, delivering cloud-based business communications solutions, opened in Cluj-Napoca (northwestern Romania), the first operational center in Eastern Europe, drew by local high-speed Internet, gandul.info informs.

“The fact that Romania has a fantastic Internet infrastructure that ensures high speeds internet means that here you can easily do business. It’s also very easy for us to sell our products using the Internet. A high-speed internet offers Cluj a great advantage. The new center in Cluj will create about 100 new jobs by year-end,” Vikram Verma, Chief Executive Officer of 8×8 stated during the launching event.

According to him, in company’s decision to invest in Cluj-Napoca also mattered the employees quality.

8×8 now has nine data center operations in five regions of the world – United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Australia.
