Google is going to launch in Romania too on November 4 ‘Google Partners Connect’, a programme that the company says is designed to support web professionals and agencies that help businesses succeed online. The programme is said to be a part of Google’s efforts to build an ecosystem to help small-to-medium businesses gain from the internet.
With Google Partners, agencies can connect with potential clients, take certification exams, gain insights tailored to each agency and its needs.
“We have over 10 million Internet users in Romania and this figure increases by 1 million every year. Most users make online search for information about products and services, and a third of them often buy products online. If we look at how Romanians use the Internet – from the number of devices connected to the Internet to the number of hours spent on YouTube or that third of them already use mobile to search for local information (addresses, restaurant reviews ) – we find that the profile of Romania is advanced. It remains that SMEs to embrace this opportunity (only 25 percent of SMEs have a website compared to an average of about 50 percent in Western Europe) and to discover the most effective methods to make themselves known for the online user. We have 400 specialists involved in Partners meready to help these SMEs to be successful online,” Rares Rusu, Marketing Manager of Google Romania said in a press release.
According to organizers, the ‘Google Partners Connect’ programme will consist of two initiatives. First – a series of local events (starting with the launching event in Bucharest) by which SMEs are connected with specialists from their area. Second – using the ‘Partners’ community as a forum where SMEs can get in touch with professionals to increase their online visibility and to attract more customers.
The ‘Partners’ community made by Google, brings together 350 online marketing agencies and 400 online certified specialists.
