The Government approved the decision regarding the capitalization of the Romanian Post (CNPR) with RON 170 million by cash contribution, a press release informs.

”This is a double investment in Romanian Post, a capital investment, with which our debts to National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), are practically extinguished, and a trusted investment in Post’s capacity to become a strong and profitable company,” Elena Petrascu, General Manager of the postal operator stated.

In the following period, CNPR is calling for the General Meeting of Shareholders, in accordance with the legal provisions, to complete the capitalization process, which is an important step in the actual start of the process of increasing the share capital.

The Romanian state holds 75 percent of the shares of the Romanian Post through the Ministry of Communications. The remaining 25 percent belongs to Fondul Proprietatea.
