Groupe Atlantic, the French-origin player in the HVAC (Heating – Ventilation – Air Conditioning) industry, will open a factory in Romania, in the PWP Bucharest North industrial park, Prahova county. With 31 industrial sites and 43 commercial locations, the group is already present on 5 continents and is expanding its presence in our country.

The new site will receive an investment of 60 million euros, money used to ensure the best working conditions, with 100% new equipment and machinery.

With a total area of 145,000 m², of which 31,000 m² is occupied by buildings, the new factory will produce 2 types of products: electrical water heaters and hot water cylinders for domestic use, under several of the Groupe Atlantic’s brands. The production should start in the last quarter of 2024. By 2026, the team working at the location will reach 370 employees.

Arnaud CODRON, the industrial director, stated that “Groupe Atlantic has decided to establish the factory in Romania to support our existing factories and serve customers in Central Europe in this market segment, stimulated by the transition to heat pumps. We chose this location because it allows us to combine proximity to our customers, competitiveness, and our expertise.

In addition, Tomasz JUDA, the factory manager, tells us: “We have initiated operations at our new unit in Romania to develop, produce, and deliver eco-efficient, high-quality, and affordable domestic hot water cylinders.

The first employees have already started working at the factory, preparing the ground for the arrival of the first machinery in mid-2024, with production scheduled to begin at the end of the same year.
