Hagi Announces Record Business for Iaki Hotel Since Launch

Romanian football icon Gheorghe Hagi reported for 2023 business of 25.6 million lei with the Iaki hotel in Mamaia, on the Black Sea coast.

The four-star hotel owned by Gheorghe Hagi in Mamaia recorded in 2023 the best financial result since its establishment. 25.6 million lei, i.e. over five million euros, was the turnover reported to the Ministry of Finance, increasing by almost 8% compared to the result reported in 2022.

However, the profit fell to 1.2 million lei, from 4.4 million lei, according to the figures reported now.

The company’s debts decreased over the years and reached the lowest level, 3.5 million lei. Hagi’s hotel had an average number of employees of 138 last year. A week of accommodation for two people in a standard room, with breakfast, costs 1,600 euros in July.

The Iaki Hotel, classified as 4 stars, was bought by Hagi in 1999.
