“Over 120 million products have found their way into the Romanians houses and over 30 million visitors stepped in our store,” Violeta Nenita, manager IKEA Baneasa store says.
Also, the best sold furniture was BESTÅ livingroom storage system, with over 390,000 units sold in 10 years. At the same time, IKEA sold over 1.6 million pieces of tempered glass plates and bowls from OFTAST range, and 1.4 million units of Almondy almond cake.
At the beginning of this year, Swedish retailer IKEA has announced that has obtained the Regional Urban/Town Planning (PUZ), for the opening of its second store in Romania, located on the 57, Theodor Pallady Boulevard, eastern part of Bucharest.
This second store is set to be launched in 2018 and will be the largest IKEA store in the region.
