As of January 11, IKEA will close the restaurant it holds inside the only store that the Swedish retailer has in Romania, namely in Bucharest, Baneasa area, the company announced in a press release.

This decision is temporary, because the restaurant is going to be reopen on February 15, after the retailer will complete the upgrading works scheduled for this period.

“We will improve the air conditioning and energy-saving systems of IKEA’s restaurant for an atmosphere to your liking,” the retailer stated.

In the 2014-2015 period, Ikea Food division, which includes IKEA restaurant, deli and bistro in the store in Baneasa, registered a sales growth of 9.63 percent over the previous period.
