ING Bank Romania supports the development of the Adrem Group, an entrepreneurial business that provides services and solutions for the energy and industrial sector in Romania, with funds of more than 32 million lei.
Adrem will use these funds in order to put into action its development plans, with an emphasis on energy efficiency services, and to play a central role in Romania’s transition towards a more sustainable future.
“We are supporting the Romanian entrepreneurial environment and we are delighted to join the Adrem group for the materialisation of their development plans in the upcoming period. With a history of over 30 years on the Romanian market, Adrem started off as a family business, which became a success story.
Digital transformation and sustainability are at the heart of ING’s strategy and Adrem has an important role in numerous energy efficiency, green energy and electric mobility projects and programmes. We share values, and this funding has strengthened our strategic partnership. We intend to continue supporting their efforts towards the transition to a more sustainable future.” – Alexandrina Băluţă, Medium Companies Strategy Manager, in Business Banking division, at ING Bank Romania.
Adrem is one of the largest suppliers of smart grid systems in Romania, from complex general entrepreneurship works, SCADA type automation systems, to turnkey energy efficiency projects, including installation of photovoltaic panels and construction of charging stations for electric cars.
The company forecasts a turnover of approximately 280 million lei in 2023, more than 50% higher than 2022.
“Adrem is bringing a major contribution in the modernisation of Romania’s energy industry and in the green transition. Since the begining, we have been committed to people and communities in which we operate and wanted to contribute to the development of our country through economic, social and environmental impact projects. Next, we aim to get involved as much as possible in this technological and social revolution and to become one of the main actors in the transition towards a sustainable future. We are glad that on this journey we have with us our trusted partner ING who supports us to achieve our common goals.
The energy transition generates a wealth of opportunities for both the economy and the population. It is our duty to learn to live sustainably, to save energy and the planet’s resources for a cleaner and better environment with future generations.” says Corneliu Bodea, CEO of Adrem.
