ING Bank Romania is commissioning today a new office concept, located on 135-145 Calea Dorobanti in Bucharest, aiming to provide a reinterpretation of its role as a bank classic headquarters. “Home at ING” brings a new concept based on a modern design, in an open, relaxed space, but also based on redefining the customers’ relation with the bank, with a higher focus on consultancy, relevance and effective time.
The new type of office tested through a pilot project this year puts into the spotlight the customers’ expertise by using a new pattern of services, as well as new interior design elements that make clients feel “like home at ING”. Therefore, a particular focus will be on guidance and digital financial education in order to endorse and inspire clients to make the most suitable choices depending on their needs.
The new office design brings such spaces as “the ING heart“- the welcoming area where customers become guests in the ING house; the digital area-to facilitate digital banking operations and transactions; the semi-private areas, which are open-space offices for customized consultancy, as well as a private area to host more complex discussions.
The first ING house was opened in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, in 2016. A similar concept was implemented in Belgium one year later. Subsequently, pilot projects kicked off worldwide, in Poland, Spain or Turkey. Romania is the sixth country where the ING house concept has been implemented, with Italy joining, too, at the end of this year.
„The ING House reflects our response to the society’s dynamic and to the specific needs of the customers. On one hand, we meet the increasing digitisation trends, and , on the other hand, we admit an indisputable need of added value communication and consultancy, through face to face discussion with a consultant”, said Javier Montes Pita, Head of Retail Banking ING.
He further said that ING wants to make the clients’ life easier, focusing on available services “anywhere, anytime and on the spot.”
“We want to expand this strategy also on the office area. Anyone can come and visit the new ING office to discover all the digital solutions we provide in a friendly environment, to discuss with our consultants while drinking a coffee together“, avier Montes Pita added.
