INS maintains economic growth forecast of 5.8pc for H1 as gross series

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown by 5.8% as gross series in the first six months of 2017 against the similar period last year and by 5.7% as seasonally adjusted series, provisional figures provided by the National Statistics Institute (INS) reveal.

As compared to Q1 2017, the GDP in Q2 was, in real terms, by 1.6% larger and against Q2 2016 the GDP increased by 5.9% as gross series and by 5.7% as seasonally adjusted series.

INS informs that the seasonally adjusted series has been recalculated and the estimated GDP in Q2 2017 was of RON 206.636 billion in current prices, up in real terms by 1.6% against Q1 2017 and by 5.7% against Q2 2016.
