Managers from the manufacturing industry forecast a moderate growth of the production volume (balance +13 percent) for the next three months, according to the business tendency survey of April 2018, carried out by National Institute of Statistics (INS).
For the manufacturing of beverages a significant growth trend will be registered (balance +45 percent), while the manufacturing of tobacco products will register a decrease (balance ‐24 percent).
Regarding the number of employees, a relative stability is estimated, the balance being +1 percent per total manufacturing.
For the prices of the industrial products, a moderate growth is forecasted for the next three months (balance +12 percent).
The same estimations show that there will be a growth in the production volume of the construction activity for the next three months (balance +30 percent). Managers forecast a moderate growth in the number of employees (balance +8 percent). As to the prices of construction works, a growth is forecasted (balance +18 percent).
In the retail trade sector, managers estimate a growth trend in the economic activity for the next three months (balance +21 percent). The volume of orders placed by the trade units to the suppliers of goods will register a moderate growth (balance +7 percent). Employers forecast a moderate growth in the number of employees (balance +12 percent) for the next three months. For the next period, managers of trade companies estimate a growth of the retail prices (balance +23 percent).
As regards the demand for services (turnover), this will register a moderate growth for the next three months (balance +11 percent). For the services sector it is forecasted a moderate growth in the number of employees (balance +7 percent). According to the managers, the selling or invoice prices of provisions will register a moderate growth trend (balance +7 percent).
