Insolvencies decreased by 52 pc, while dissolutions and removals increased at end-October

The number of companies becoming insolvent fell by 52 percent in first 10 months of this year, but the removals increased by 9 percent, suspensions of activity – by 6 percent and dissolution – by 41 percent, according to the data released by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

The most insolvencies, withdrawal, suspension and dissolution have occurred in the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, namely 32,736, by 2.77 percent more than the same period in 2014.

Thus, 8,540 companies became insolvent in the first 10 months, down by 52.57 percent over the same period last year.

Bucharest has recorded the most of the insolvencies – 1,522, (-49.32 percent), followed by Bihor County with 461 (-61.52 percent) and Timis County with 436 (-36.16 percent).

The Romanian Capital runs also in the top of removals, 12,097 companies were erased, up by 39.93 percent, a total of total of 69,640 companies.

In wholesale and retail trade were the most of such cases – 4,986, up by 8.18 percent more than in the first 10 months of 2014.
