The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) gave green light to a notification from the Central Bank of Ireland about the application submitted by Euro Insurance DAC, subsidiary of Irish LeasePlan Group, to sell MTPL (RCA) insurances on Romanian market.
Thus, there are nine active insurers on domestic MTPL market, considering that ASF decided to start the insolvency proceedings for Carpatica Asigurari in July 2016.
“Euro Insurance DAC can provide services for X class (RCA), as of March 3, 2017, respecting the specific legal provisions on mandatory auto liability insurance,” the release reads.
Established in 1994, Euro Insurance DAC (LeasePlan Insurance) is part of Irish LeasePlan Group which is active in 23 countries and provides mandatory auto liability insurance for LeasePlan fleet, operational leasing company, member of the Irish group, but also for other large fleets.
Just recently, Bulgaria-based insurance company DallBogg made also its entry on local MTPL market.
