Israeli New Kopel Group to invest EUR 20 M in Romania this year

Operational leasing company and car rental New Kopel, one of the leading players in the Romanian automotive industry, controlled by Israeli Shlomo holding company, will invest this year more than EUR 20 million in all of its divisions in Romania and will buy over 1,500 new vehicles.

According to a press release, the group has set as objective for 2017 in increase of 20 percent of its operational leasing fleet and 15 percent of the Rent a Car activity.

“We want to make 2017 a successful year. We are careful at the market changes and the needs of our clients. At Group level, we built a talented team of professionals able to offer simultaneously the current existing solutions in auto industry: rent a car, operational leasing, second hand cars sales and auto service,” Tal Lahav, CEO of New Kopel Group, stated.

Last year, New Kopel Group invested EUR 13 million in Romania and recorded a 25 percent increase of the fleet up to 3,500 vehicles (operational leasing and Rent a Car).

Another objective of Israeli Group for this year is the development of customer portfolio. In 2016, New Kopel had over 300 active customers in operational leasing division and plans their increase up to 15 percent this year.

The clients portfolio is a mix of several areas such as IT&C, FMCG, Real Estate, pharma, auto, financial area and others.

The Group forecasts a similar growth of 15 percent of Union Motors service activity, one of the largest in Romania.
