New Kopel, one of the leading players in the Romanian automotive industry, and part of Shlomo Israeli Group, aims to increase its investments in 2016 on the domestic market by 20 percent more compared to 2015, when they exceeded EUR 13 million, funds for purchase of vehicles, a press release informs.
Last year, Israeli group’s investments were up by 16 percent compared to 2014.
„New Kopel increased the number of cars in its fleet by 1,100, compared to 1,000 new cars in the previous year, and for 2016, the company is looking to increase the car fleet (60 percent distributed in Bucharest and 40 percent in the other cities where operates) by purchasing 1,200-1,500 new cars,” the release reads.
According to Hezi Shayb, CEO New Kopel Group, company’s management will focus its efforts on the development of fleet management services, an untapped area so far.
He estimates that the operational leasing market has grown in the past three years, each year, with two percent.
In the rent-a-car area, New Kopel Group targets at maintaining the turnover growth by 9 percent in 2015 for this year too, adding 750 cars from all segments, at the existing fleet. For this year, the positive trend is complemented by a 20 percent advance of the service activity.
For 2016, the company will also focus on selling 1,500 new and second hand cars through Opel Union Motors and Sixt SH.
