KFC and Pizza Hut extend their local network this year. 450 people needed

KFC and Pizza Hut chains are looking for new colleagues, ofering over 450 new jobs for the restaurants which are going to be open during this year.

According to a press release, the local franchise operators need people at entry levels, allowing them for growth within the company after one year of activity.

“We know it’s difficult for young people without experience to find a job. Therefore, we offer them the chance to work for an international brand along with they have the opportunity to develop a career. KFC and Pizza Hut employees benefit from dedicated trainings and have the chance to advance quickly in their career, in a young, energetic, positive and ambitious team. Also, starting February, we have increased employee wages by an average of 20 percent at restaurant level,” Mark Hilton, Franchise Business Consultant KFC si Pizza Hut Romania said.

The salary increase applied to the employees of both restaurants comes in the context in which, as of this May, the minimum gross wage will have to rise from RON 1,050 at present, to RON 1,250 per month.

Generally, in the industry of restaurants and food retail, the employees are paid at the minimum wage level, being among those sectors where salaries are the lowest.

KFC operates as a franchise under the management of US Food Network, with 58 restaurants in Bucharest, Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Suceava, Oradea, Pitesti and Brasov. Pizza Hut is a franchise operated by American Restaurant System, with ten units in Bucharest, two in Cluj and one each in Iasi, Constanta, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Brasov and Oradea.
