Romanian businessmen Radu Dimofte, Nicolae Badea and Lucian Vlad launched Sphera Franchise Groug, bringing together the companies that own KFC, Pizza Hut and Pizza Hut Delivery brands.
Thus, Sphera Franchise Group becomes the largest group of restaurants in Romania, in terms of businesses, network and number of employees, as a press release informs.
With about 100 restaurants and delivery points, where more than 4,000 people are working, the sales of the new group will exceed EUR 130 million.
In Romania, the KFC chain counts 63 restaurants both in Bucharest and in other cities such as Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Suceava, Oradea, Pitesti or Brasov. It also operates two restaurants in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, and one in Verona, in northeastern Italy.
Pizza Hut entered the Romanian market in 1994, with the opening of the first unit in Calea Dorobanti, and now has 21 restaurants on the network level.
Pizza Hut Delivery brand entered the Romanian market in December 2007, with the opening of its first location in the Vitan area in Bucharest. At present, Pizza Hut Delivery has 12 units in Bucharest and one in Brasov, Cluj and Popesti Leordeni.
