Matca Transylvanian Sanctuary, a boutique hotel in Simon, Brasov County, is part of the French Relais & Châteaux network. This network comprises 580 hotels and restaurants run by independent entrepreneurs, often family businesses.
The Matca Hotel opened at the beginning of this year, following an investment of 7.4 million euros by the Căluianu family.
The property operates as an independent boutique hotel overlooking the Piatra Craiului Mountains and the Bucegi Mountains.
For this year, the owners of the hotel also propose to expand the accommodation capacity by building five more private villas. Matca Transylvania Sanctuary consists of two buildings, with eight rooms each, plus two private villas.
Epoque hotel in Bucharest is the only one in Romania that is affiliated with Relais & Châteaux chain.
