Mega Image initiates extensive store and warehouse revamp, with over €25 million invested so far. The investment is part of an extensive process that will continue in the coming years to strengthen security measures and improve the shopping experience.

Already, 140 units have undergone refurbishments, with significant investments in new equipment, automated processes for continuous operational monitoring, and staff training.

“We will continue to collaborate with authorities to provide customers with the best products and services. We regularly review procedures and maintenance schedules to ensure the safety and quality of products in our stores. We assure our customers that we have implemented additional health and food safety measures for a safer and more enjoyable shopping experience,” said Mircea Moga, CEO of Mega Image.

Over 15,000 Romanian employees work for Mega Image.

In October 2023, Ahold Delhaize food retailer, the owner of Mega Image brand, announced that it has reached an agreement on the acquisition of the company Profi Rom Food, which operates the network of Profi stores in Romania, from MidEuropa.
