Romanian tourism and hospitality industry is not yet at the level of other European countries, but large hotel chains see here a valuable potential development.
French hotel group Accor announced in a press release that it will open its first local Mercure hotel in Bucharest at the beginning of November. The 4-star Mercure Bucharest City Center is located on George Enescu St., a few steps away from the capital’s most prestigious avenue, Calea Victoriei, home of significant historical landmarks, as well as luxury boutiques, business centers, restaurants etc. The hotel unit is developed by Dentotal Investment company, controlled by Anghel and Bogdan Dogariu, and is managed by Accor. The total investment amounted to almost EUR 10 million, 70 percent sustained by Garanti Bank loan.

The Privilege rooms offer an array of additional amenities, such as king-size bedding, large LCD screens, Espresso machine, free minibar, bathrobes and many other attentive gestures. Also, some of the top floor rooms have cozy terraces, which grant picturesque views over the city center.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas, while a business corner and fitness center are permanently at guests’ disposal.
On the first floor, Mercure provides three natural day-lighted meeting rooms endowed with professional equipment & facilities: advanced connectivity, Wi-Fi & broadband Internet, multimedia projectors & teleconferencing solutions.
