Michał Mrowiec, the current Sales Vicepresident of Kompania Piwowarska, will take over the role of Ursus Breweries President starting with January 1st 2023, after Paul Barnetts decision to return to his home country, Australia.
In the last 7 years, Michał has been part of Kompania Piwowarska, the Polish business of Asahi Europe & International. He has had a significant contribution to the growth of profitability through the transformation of the company’s commercial strategy and through coordinating major investment projects. Prior to that, he was the Commercial Director of Coca Cola HBC in Poland and Sales Vicepresident of Unilever, implementing several organizational transformation initiatives. Michal has a master’s degree at Economic University in Katowice, Poland.
“This appointment, as Ursus Breweries President, honors me and I am happy to come to Romania – a country which is very much like my home country, Poland. The team here has good performance, and the company already is the beer market leader. I have enthusiastically accepted the challenge to continue the sustainable development and commercial growth projects started by Paul and the team. I will work closely with my new colleagues and hope to contribute with my know-how and experience so that we maintain the same top spot in Romanian consumers’ preferences,” said Michał Mrowiec.
“I’ve had a very good experience in the Ursus Breweries team, and I want to thank all my colleagues for their support and for the projects we’ve carried out together. I will leave all the initiatives developed here in good hands and I trust that Ursus Breweries will have a prosperous future under Mihcał’s leadership,” added Paul Barnett.
Michał’s appointment at the helm of Ursus Breweries brings the advantage of an international professional experience in the beer and FMCG industries and contributes to the ambition of Asahi Europe & International group of promoting diversity, with its multiple facets, such as different expertise, gender diversity or the pluralism of ideas.
