As of this month, the operations of German drugs and chemicals group Bayer’s Consumer Health Division in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova will be coordinated by Mike Seidel, replacing Emilio Bellantoni, a press release informs.
Mike Seidel has broad international experience in OTC brand building and strategy creation for various Bayer brands and categories. He started his professional journey with the company back in 2000, as a Product Manager Dermatologicals at the Consumer Health division in Barcelona, and remained in Spain until 2003, when he was promoted to Sr. Brand Manager in Köln, Germany.
After several years spent in the United States in varying marketing roles for key products in the Bayer portfolio, he returned to his home country Germany in 2012, to serve as Marketing Director for the Gastro Intestinals Category there, a position based at Bayer’s Germany Operation in Leverkusen. In April 2015 he took another professional opportunity at Bayer Consumer Health’s headquarters, Switzerland, as Global Brand Director for Iberogast.

He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Marketing and Controlling from the Fachhochschule fuer Oekonomie und Management in Essen, Germany. He also holds an MBA in Strategic Marketing and Business Management from the University of Bradford Management Centre, Great Britain.
