Romania currently has the richest energy mix in the region, even in Europe, Energy Minister Toma Petcu said in a press conference on Tuesday. According to him, this should be put to good use and used as such.
”My objective is to raise Romania’s Energy Strategy at law level, to bring it to Parliament for debate and approval. Why is this strategy important? One of our objectives is to increase Romania’s energy contribution on the conventional markets by providing national primary resources,” Energy Minister said.
He pointed out that Romania has energy independence at the moment, but it is very important to consolidate it, develop it.
”We are increasingly applied towards energy efficiency,” Petcu said.
In November 2016, the Ministry of Energy launched in public consultation the draft of Romania’s Energy Strategy 2016-2030, with the prospect of 2050.
