Online multi-brand store Answear.ro estimates that the mobile sales will surpass desktop orders, while offline store consultants will be replaced by couriers. These data are based on the results obtained in the first six months since online retailer’s launch locally, a press release informs.
All this in the context in which the online fashion market in Romania is expected to increase by at least 20 percent this year, Answear.ro also notes.
“In recent years, the fashion eCommerce market has seen a steady growth, by at least 30 percent every year, the increasingly trust of Romanian consumers for local online fashion platforms contributing to this increase. Online shopping has several advantages over traditional shopping sites, such as personalization, flexibility and distribution,” Raluca Radu, country manager of Answear Romania stated, continuing: “Whether it’s about new or exclusive products, customers have no reason to be bored by the offer, collections being renewed every week.”
Tommy Hilfiger is the best selling brand in Answear.ro portfolio, in particular shirts, T-shirts and footwear products categories. This is followed by the street-sport brands such as Converse, Adidas Originals, Nike Sportswear and New Balance, as well as Mango or Answear & Medicine own brands.
Answear is a multi-brand retailer launched in Poland and active in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, where it was launched at the end of 2015.
The main competitors of Answear.ro are FashionDays.ro, FashionUp.ro or traditional players such as Zara, H&M and Mango.
