MOL Romania, the local branch of Hungarian MOL Group, completed the construction the LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) terminal in Tileagd, Bihor County, a press release informs. The investment in this construction exceeds EUR 2.3 million.
The terminal which is fully operational, has 4 tanks with a total capacity of 600 cubic meters, four discharge / charge pumps connected to two compressors – designed for an annual capacity of up to 30kt.
The facility is equipped with a fully automatic loading system. The gas is stored in terrestrial tanks, equipped with state-of-the-art safety and protection systems, including automatic volume and temperature measuring devices, fixed fire extinguishing systems, as well as early detection and alarm sensors, according to MOL Romania officials.
Moreover, this is the first investment of this type made by MOL in Romania.
The project will complement the asset base that MOL already owns at Tileagd, where a petroleum products warehouse has been operational since 1999. At this moment, the warehouse in Tileagd is operated by 22 employees.
The terminal is a key LPG delivery facility to the whole region, being designed to support the security of propane supply to the customers in western Romania.
