Motor vehicles trade up by 18.3pc

The turnover in trade with motor vehicles increased by 18.3% as gross series in the first nine months of the year as compared to the same period in 2015, while businesses in the services provided to the population increased by 10%, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) informed on Monday.

During January-September the turnover in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as gross series increased by 18.3%.

In September, against the previous month, the turnover in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as gross series, increased by 10.7% and as adjusted series increased by 3 5%.

Statistics show that, as compared September 2016 to September 2015, businesses in wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as gross series, registered am increase of 23.8%, mainly due to the trade with motor vehicles (+ 35%).
