Multidisciplinary clinic, launched in Ploiesti, including first Petroleum Doctor unit

One of the most important private healthcare players in Romania, inaugurated a new multidisciplinary clinic in Ploiesti. Medicover invested EUR 400,000 in this project which provides patients with more than 25 medical specialties at Swedish standards, including Occupational Medicine, as well as an authorised centre for international vaccinations, a press release informs.

Medicover Ploiesti clinic represents the first local unit accredited for Petroleum Doctor, a specialty dedicated to people who work on marine platforms in the North Sea.

“This new step in expanding Medicover Romania is bringing us closer to reaching our long-term objective, of supporting patients in as many areas of the country as possible,” Adrian Peake (photo), General Manager of Medicover Romania said.

Medicover Ploiesti clinic brings together 27 doctors and is expected to expand the team in the next period.

With a presence of 20 years on the private medical services market in Romania, Medicover has a network of 16 own clinics in Bucharest and across the country in Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Iasi, Ploiesti, Brasov, as well as a general hospital – Medicover Hospital.
