As of January 2018, Turkey’s Arçelik Group appoints Murat Büyükerk as the new CEO of Arctic, the largest household appliance manufacturer on the local market, as a press release informs.
He is replacing Nihat Bayız who has been promoted as R&D director within Arçelik Group.
During Bayız’s mandate, Arctic recorded the largest turnover in history, supported by both good sales results, and an increase in export volumes.
According to the release, Buyukerk has a 28-year experience within Arcelik group, while he has held various leading positions in product management, supply chain and sales. Starting 2014, he has been International Regional Sales Director for Arcelik group, successfully coordinating the launch of a range of top products and technologies on the market, which have supported the global growth of Turkish group.
Buyukerk holds an Economics degree from the Ege University in Izmir.
