New airline to operate in Romania

A new airline specialised in charters will operate in Romania starting May this year: Animawings, Pro TV informed.

Orange2Fly Greek airline and Memento Group company (that also owns Christian Tour operator in Romania) are the shareholders of Animawings.

The new airline has two Airbus A320-200 planes, with 180 seats each, which will provide charter flights for several holidays destinations such as Greece, Turkey, Spain, Egypt and Tunis, mainly the destinations around the Mediterranean Sea.

The charters have already been booked by local tour operators such as  TUI TravelCenter, Dertour, Prestige Tour and Christian Tour.

According to the Animawings’s sales manager, Tudor Constantinescu, they expect to serve around 300,000 passengers this year and one million and five planes in 2024.
