New car registrations in Romania up by 3.7 pc in first two months
New cars’ registration in Romania increased in the first two months of this year by 3.7% against the same period of 2014 to 9,094 units, while Dacia deliveries to the EU markets advanced by 3.6% in the same interval to 57,106 units, the Romanian brand’s share stood at 3%.
In the first two months of last year, 8,768 new cars were registered in Romania.
The European car market grew by 7% in January-February as compared to the same period of 2014 to 1.92 million units due to the positive development of the large markets, according to data released on Tuesday by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
Dacia cars registration in Europe rose by 3.6% in the first two months of this year as compared to the same period in 2014, from 55,108 units to 57,106 units. ACEA estimates that Dacia had a market share of 3% by the end of February, down from 3.1% at the end of February 2014. In February, Dacia deliveries fell by 0.3% to 26,825 cars.
