British American Tobacco operations for South Central Europe region will be led from Bucharest by Ram Addanki.
South Central Europe Area – SCEA includes eight countries which report to Romania since the end of 2017: Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia and Croatia, as well as Kosovo.
“These are very exciting times for us, when BAT is transforming tobacco. It’s a privilege to experience this transformation here, in Romania, which is a great country for BAT: Romanians trust our brands and 55 percent of them choose them constantly. This is why I welcome the opportunity to lead our business here and see the company and Romania grow further together, with more investments coming to our factory in Ploiesti, with more well-paid jobs being created and new and exciting products being launched here”, said Ram Addanki.
Ram Addanki joined BAT in 1994. He has led the BAT branches from Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Ram was also financial manager in Turkey, SCEA audit manager in Moscow, finance manager in UK and Ireland and also finance regional manager in Europe and Czech Republic.
