The 3-month ROBOR Index, the average interest rate on which Romanian banks borrow from each other, has reached on Thursday the level of 1.98%, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) informs. It is the lowest level since November 14, 2017 (1.92%).
On Wednesday, the index fell to 2.03%
At the beginning of the year, the 3-month ROBOR Index was 0.87% and at the beginning of September it was 0.92%.
The 6-months ROBOR Index has decreased to 2.22%, the lowest since November 16 (2.19%).
ROBOR (Romanian Interbank Offer Rate) is the average interest rate for loans in national currency granted on the interbank market, and the increase of this indicator will lead to an increase of instalments in the case of RON loans.
