The Bucharest Court of Appeal irrevocably rejected the Alpiq Romindustries claim for compensation against Euro Insol and Hidroelectrica for the termination of the contract of sale-purchase of electricity, a press release issued on Monday informs.
According to the receiver Euro Insol, Alpiq Romindustries has filed in June 2013 a lawsuit asking the Bucharest Court to order Hidroelectrica Bucharest and Euro Insol to pay the amount over RON 398.61 million as compensation for the termination of the sales contract energy by the receiver, Agerpres informs.
“The sentence no. 2841/ April 20, 2016 issued by the Bucharest Court in the case no. 22371/3/2013, the Alpiq Romindustries request was rejected as unfounded, and Alpiq was ordered to pay the costs in the amount of RON 91.052 representing fees for lawyers and experts. The Alpiq’s appeal against that decision was rejected on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 by the Bucharest Court of Appeal by decision,” the release said.
The contract for the sale of electricity would have been valid until December 31, 2019.
