In April 2017, the National Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has collected budget revenues totalling RON 18.03 billion, by RON 1.18 billion (7%) more than in April 2016 (RON 16.85 billion), the ANAF representatives informed on Tuesday. According to them, in the first 4 months of this year ANAF collected RON 68.45 billion, which means an increase of RON 1.81 billion as compared to the revenues in the similar period of 2016 (RON 66.64 billion), respectively a 2.7% increase in the volume of the collected budget revenues, hotnews.ro reports.
We remind that starting with March, Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu meets periodically with the Minister of Public Finances Viorel Stefan and with the President of ANAF, Bogdan Nicolae Stan, to discuss the collection of taxes after the first two months of this year, when the money collected was lower than in the similar period of 2016.
The ANAF president says that the total fiscal revenues collected in January and February 2017 amounted to about RON 32 billion, which represents a decrease by only 0.9% – nominal index against the same period last year.
In this context, the Romanian Prime Minister has called for an increase in the level of collection of the budgetary revenues administered by ANAF and the intensification of measures to improve voluntary compliance.
