ANAF starts operations to tax weddings, fines up to RON 5,000 for failing to submit fiscal statements

The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has started the operations to tax the weddings, and the first documents in this regard were sent to some newlyweds in Arges County. ANAF thus requests them to submit a statement on the economic relations with the companies or natural persons which have provided services for the wedding, reports.

It seems other notifications were sent as well. Reports read that ANAF has sent to those who got married this year, religious or civil wedding, some blank form to be filled in with the names of those with whom they have worked with,

The newlyweds should fill in the payments made for the event. Thus, ANAF intends to find the companies and natural persons, mainly in the video and photography sector, not paying taxes and working on the black market.

The participants to the wedding will not be taxed, only the service providers. Those refusing to provide information will be fined by RON 2,000-50,000, the same source reads.
