The National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE) has fined CEZ Vanzare with RON 500,000 because the company has billed in advance the electric power during 2014-2015, sources in the energy sector said on Tuesday, quoted by agerpres.ro.
The checks started in 2015 and aimed to verify the CEZ Vanzare compliance with the Regulation of electricity supply to end customers.
The verification report was completed on January 15, 2016, and the minute of finding and sanctioning offenses was issued on Monday, January 18, 2016.
CEZ representatives have not yet commented the information.
CEZ Vanzare claims the billing system is according to the legal framework and announced on Wednesday it will challenge the ANRE decision regarding the fine in the coming days.
