Assets of mandatory private pension funds up by 21% yoy in April

The assets of the mandatory private pension funds amounted to RON 52.26 billion on April 30, 2019, up by 21.42% against the similar month last year, the Financial Supervision Authority (ASF) informs on Monday.

The state securities have the largest weigh – RON 30.06 billion, i.e. 57.52%, followed by shares – RON 9.96 billion, i.e. 19.07%. Bank deposits are third with RON 4.75 billion, i.e. 9.10% of the total assets.

According to ASF, the overall assets of the Pension Pillar II funds was RON 52.267 billion and the value of the net assets was RON 52.255 billion on April 30, 2019.

The mandatory private pension funds had 7.322 million participants.

Pension funds active on Pension Pillar II: Metropolitan Life Pensii, Aripi, AZT Viitorul tău, BCR, BRD, NN and Vital.
