Boeing and Airbus aircraft, to be repaired in Iasi

Aerostar SA will build a EUR 10 million aircraft maintenance hangar in Iasi, for the aircraft landing on the local airport.

Representatives of the Iasi County Council have signed the concession contract with Aerostar SA for a land of 16,000 square meters, located in the airport area, according to bzi.ro.

According to company’s General Manager, Grigore Filip, the construction will be completed next year and will be used for the maintenance of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. It will lead to at least 150 jobs new jobs. The employees will need special training that will last three years.

Even so, the company representative said they would use the employees in Bacau in parallel with those in Iasi. The concession contract is signed for a period of 49 years.
