Car registrations up by 32.7pc in Q3 2017
The registrations of auto vehicles for passenger transport have increased by 32.2% in Q3 2017 against Q3 2016, a release from the National Statistics Institute (INS) informs. The number of vehicles for passenger transport registered in Q3 was of 162,157.
In the third quarter of 2017, as compared to the same period in 2016, the registrations of new vehicles for passenger transport have increased in all categories, the most significant was for cars by 32.7%.
In the same period, the registrations of vehicles for the transport of goods have increased by 30% as compared to Q3 in the previous year.
As compared to the second quarter 2017, in Q2 2017 the new registrations of vehicles for passenger transport have increased by 7.1%, whereas the new registrations of vehicles for goods transport have decreased by 7.5%.
