Dacia new car registrations in France increased in 2018 by 19.1% up to 140,326 units, as compared with 117,865 vehicles in 2017, according to the data released by the French Automobile Manufacturers Committee (CCFA).
Deliveries of Ford and Daimler groups have declined by 2.1% and 3.8% respectively in 2018, while Renault reported a 2.5% advance.
Overall, the French car market recorded an increase of 3% last year (with 2.17 million new cars registered).
France remains the third largest car market in the European Union, behind Germany and the UK, but ahead of Italy and Spain.
In December, 165,390 vehicles were registered in France, by 15% less against the same period in 2017. Dacia new car registrations in France recorded a 12.4% decrease last month up to 9,603 units, as compared with the similar period in 2017.
The sales of Ford and Daimler groups have declined by 13.7% and 20% respectively in December, while Renault reported a 19.2% decline.
