Eberspaecher Group opens automotive equipment factory in Oradea

Eberspaecher Group has inaugurated on Thursday a new factory in Oradea for the exhaustion technology, it is to produce catalysts and mufflers for European car manufacturers.
The 27,500 sq m plant was built in less than eight months on an area of about 11 hectares. It includes the areas of logistics and production, and an office complex. The company estimates that by 2020 the annual production capacity will reach 1.5 million catalysts and mufflers and up to 5 million pipes. At full capacity it will produce a catalytic converter every 15 seconds.
This year, the auto supplier will create approximately 150 jobs at the factory in Oradea. At full capacity, the number of employees is expected to reach 650, capital.ro informs.
Eberspaecher has recently tripled the size of the technology plant for commercial vehicles in Brighton, Michigan (US). In the past five years, the group has expanded to 20 locations in Germany and abroad.
