Gross average wage up to RON 3,305 in September, net average earnings up to RON 2,376
The gross average wage per economy increased by 0.5% in September as compared to the previous month to RON 3,305, while the net value was of RON 2,376, up by RON 12 (+0.5%), the National Statistics Institute (INS) informs on Tuesday.
According to statistics, the highest net nominal average wage earnings was registered in information technology services – including IT service activities, respectively RON 6,022 and the lowest in hotels and restaurants (RON 1,399).
As compared to September the previous year, the net nominal average wage earnings have increased by 13.5%. The real wage index was 111.5% against the same period of the previous year.
In terms of the evolution of consumer prices, the real wage earnings index was 100% for September 2017 as compared to the previous month. Against October 1990, the real earnings index was 178.3%, with the same value as in August 2017.
