Henri Coandă airport, in top 3 European airports with the highest traffic growth

Henri Coanda International Airport is ranked third by Airports Council International-Europe, among European airports which have shown the greatest increase in air traffic in February, according to an announcement by the National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB).

Henri Coanda is in the category of airports with 5 to 10 million passengers.

On the first two places in this category are the airports Berlin Schonefeld (Germany) and Faro-Algarve (Portugal).

Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport recorded, in February 2016, passenger air traffic of 681,185 and aircraft movements (landings and takeoffs) of 7,625. As compared to the same month last year, the number of passengers transiting the airport in February 2016 has increased by 21.8%.

The evolution of the number of passengers on Henri Coanda is significantly ahead of the general trend of 10.3% recorded in Europe.
