Industrial production up by 0.8% in four months of 2019

The industrial production in the four months of the year grew by 0.8% as gross series against the similar period last year, supported by the extractive industry (+2.2%) and by the processing industry (+1.3%), the National Statistics Institute (INS) informs on Thursday.

The production and supply of energy and thermal energy, gas, hot water and air conditioning fell by 2.4%.

As adjusted series by number of working days and seasonality, the industrial production grew in this interval by 1%.

In April 2019, the industrial production (as gross series) decreased against the previous month by 9.5% due to lower output of all industrial sectors. As seasonally adjusted series, the industrial production was by 1.1% larger than in the previous month.
