National currency continues to depreciate against the EUR, gets very close to the historic low

The RON/EUR reference exchange rate has increased by 0.02% on Thursday to RON 4.7640/EUR, continuing national currency’s depreciation  trend on Wednesday, so it is even closer to the historic low, registered on January 25, of RON 4.7648, according to figures from the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

Instead, the exchange rate for the US Dollar, which is set against the EUR, fell by 0.10% on Thursday to 4.2131 units and the gram of gold fell from RON 177.3664 on Wednesday to RON 175.9036 on Thursday.

The exchange rate for the Swiss franc has increased from RON 4.1920 on Wednesday to RON 4.1946 on Thursday.
