National currency downward against main currencies

The national currency has depreciated on Friday against all major currencies, with the most impressive fall against the US Dollar, according to the National Bank of Romania (BNR) reference rates.
The US Dollar is RON 4.2434 on Friday, up from RON 4.2312 a day before. RON is thus close to the record low against the US currency of 4.2456 units on April 21, 2017.
The reference exchange rate against the European single currency is on Friday RON 4.7628 for EUR, up from 4.7602 on Thursday.
The Swiss franc is RON 4.2614 on Friday, up from 4.2512 in the previous session.
The Sterling Pound is RON 5.5401.
The gram of gold fell to RON 177.7842, down from RON 178.9362 on Thursday.
