Natural gas consumption down to 73.563 million MWh in seven months

The natural gas consumption of end customers totalled 73.563 million MWh in the first seven months of 2015, down by 3% as compared to the similar period last year, which amounted to 75,828,000 MWh, according to a report posted on the website the National Regulatory Authority for Energy (ANRE).
Domestic output of natural gas represented in July 99.96% of total sources, the top two producers (Romgaz and Petrom) covering 92.57% from this source.
Imports for consumers amounted to the difference, i.e. 0.04%. The top three importers-domestic suppliers have carried out together 100% of imports.
The imported gas price ranged between USD 375/1,000 cubic metres (RON 136.58/MWh) and USD 261/1,000 cubic metres (RON 95.68/MWh).
