The net assets of the 188 open and closed local and foreign funds have increased by 1.5% in May to RON 25.8 billion (EUR 5.65 billion), up by 3.4% In 2017, according to data released on Wednesday by the Association of Fund Managers in Romania.
The net subscriptions in May amounted to RON 133.5 million (EUR 29.3 million).
The net assets of local open funds increased by 1.2%, to RON 22.42 billion (EUR 4.9 billion), and the increase during the current year was of 2.5%.
The net foreign assets of foreign open funds distributed in Romania increased by 3.1% against April, up to the level of RON 2.86 billion (EUR 625.3 million) and registered an increase of 10% this year.
The foreign open funds distributed in Romania, with a weight of 11.3% in the total assets of the open investment funds, recorded net inflows of RON 34 million (EUR 7.5 million) in May.
The net assets of the 19 closed funds (local and foreign, SIF and FP excluded) increased by 4.1% in the reported month to RON 546.9 million (EUR 119.7 million). These funds recorded net outflows of RON 2.2 million (EUR 480,000) and had an increase in net assets this year of 10.9%.
