Net investments in national economy up by 5.7% in Q1

The net investments in the national economy amounted to RON 17.306 billion in the first quarter of 2019, up by 5.7% against the same period last year, the National Statistics Institute (INS) informs on Friday.

The investments in new constructions increased during this interval by 20.6%, up to RON 8.023 billion and the investments for other purposes increased by 6.8%, amounting to RON 3.347 billion.

The net investments in equipment (including means of transportation) decreased by 9.8% in Q1 against the same period last year, down to RON 5.935 billion.

INS informs that, out of the overall investments in Q1, almost one third were made in constructions, 29.9% in industry, 23.1% in trade and services, 4.6% in agriculture and 13.5% in other fields.
