OMV Petrom, the second largest company in Romania, considers the possible restructuring both in terms of projects and in terms of number of employees in order to cope with the volatile times affecting the oil and gas industry throughout the world, zf.ro informs.
“Given the market developments, the process of analyzing the projects is ongoing and could lead, among other measures envisaged, to the cut in the number of employees. But we cannot speak of a target figure, but of a qualitative one, respectively of business resilience in an unfavourable market environment, while keeping options open for the return if the context of price improvement,” OMV Petrom representatives said for zf.ro.
By the end of 2015 the company has 16,200 employees.
